What Our Travelers Say

Behind each of these words is a traveler who stood in awe before one of the world’s great wonders — sometimes alone, sometimes hand in hand, sometimes surrounded by family or lifelong friends.

They came from different places, with different expectations and reasons for going. What they share is the moment when imagination became reality, and a distant dream became something deeply personal.

These reflections are not just about destinations. They are about courage, connection, discovery, and the quiet certainty that some journeys change us forever.

  • Family:
Great Wall with our two teenagers

We spent about five days in Beijing and visiting the Great Wall was the highlight for all of us. The contrast between the busy city and the quiet mountain scenery was striking. Beyond the Wall, we loved exploring the Forbidden City and local hutongs. The Wall itself was steeper than expected in parts, but choosing a quieter section made it manageable and far more enjoyable.

  • Couple:
    The experience felt culturally rich

Our trip combined Beijing’s historical sites with a day at the Great Wall, and it felt well balanced. The Wall is incredible in scale, but what stayed with us was the broader sense of history across the city — temples, palaces, and traditional neighborhoods. Air quality wasn’t perfect some days, which slightly affected distant views, but overall the experience felt culturally rich.

  • Family:
    Christ the Redeemer

We spent a week in Rio, and Christ the Redeemer was just one part of a very varied trip — beaches, Sugarloaf, neighborhoods, and parks. The statue itself is impressive mainly because of its setting over the city. Rio’s energy and scenery were as memorable as the monument. We appreciated having time to experience both.

  • Friends group:
    Wadi Musa and Petra

We stayed in Wadi Musa for three nights to explore Petra properly and also visited Little Petra and the surrounding desert. Petra itself is vast — much more than the Treasury — and hiking to the Monastery was unforgettable. Evenings in town were relaxed and welcoming. It felt like a full destination, not just a monument stop.

  • Friends:
    Yucatan and Chichén Itzá

The Yucatán region was enjoyable overall — especially cenotes and smaller towns — but Chichén Itzá felt more commercialized than expected. Vendors are persistent around the main areas, which slightly distracted from the atmosphere. The site is still impressive historically, just less tranquil than we’d imagined from photos.

    Rio – Brazil

Rio felt vibrant and visually dramatic, and visiting Christ the Redeemer gave us the iconic overview of the city. We also explored Santa Teresa and the coastline, which added depth to the trip. The monument area is crowded, but the broader Rio experience made it worthwhile and well rounded.

  • Solo:
    Cusco & Sacred Valley

Spending several days in Cusco and the Sacred Valley before Machu Picchu helped me adjust to altitude and understand the culture behind the ruins. Machu Picchu itself is breathtaking, but the villages, markets, and landscapes around Cusco made the journey feel complete. It was more than a site visit — it felt like immersion.

  • Couple:
    Agra & region

We spent two days in Agra and also visited nearby forts and local markets. The Taj Mahal is extraordinarily refined, but seeing Agra’s broader Mughal history added depth to the visit. Sunrise was calmer and more atmospheric. The contrast between the monument and the busy city made it feel even more remarkable.

    Around Jordan

Combining Petra with time in Wadi Rum and Amman made the trip feel diverse. Petra’s scale and colors are extraordinary, but we also enjoyed wandering the small town, local food, and desert landscapes nearby. Terrain is uneven, so pacing matters, but the overall experience felt adventurous without being extreme.
